The Haywood County Board of Commissioners is seeking applicants to fill the following positions on the Haywood County Health and Human Services Board:
- A Dentist
- An Optometrist
- Registered Nurse
Each position will begin serving a 4-year term upon appointment.
For the Dentist position, the candidate must be a qualified dentist and reside in Haywood County. Current and retired dentist are encouraged to apply.
For the Optometrist position, the candidate must be a qualified optometrist and reside in Haywood County. Current and retired optometrists are encouraged to apply.
For the Registered Nurse position, the candidate must be a qualified nurse and reside in Haywood County. Current and retired registered nurses are encouraged to apply.
Qualified professionals are encouraged to apply. Each candidate will be serving a 4-year term. Upon completion of the term, appointees serving their first term are eligible to apply for reappointment to a second four-year term. The deadline for applications is 5 p.m., April 30, 2025.

Submit Volunteer Board or Committee Application" section of the county website at https://www.haywoodcountync.gov/9/How-Do-I or picked up from the County Manager's office from 8 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday, at the Haywood County Courthouse, third floor, 215 North Main Street, Waynesville.
