TAKE NOTICE that the Haywood County Board of Commissioners has canceled the Amended Notice of Special Meeting to be held on Thursday, August 26, 2021 at 9:30 a.m. However, the Haywood County Board of Commissioners will be conducting an Emergency Meeting on Thursday, August 26, 2021 at 9:30 a.m.in the Historic Courtroom at the Haywood County Historic Courthouse located at 215 North Main Street, Waynesville, North Carolina. The name of the called meeting was inadvertently titled incorrectly.
The purpose of the meeting is to request approval of debris removal management and monitoring contracts with Southern Disaster Recovery, LLC and DebrisTech, LLC, as it relates to the aftereffects of Tropical Storm Fred, request to approve a budget amendment to pay for said management and monitoring as provided by the two vendors, and request to approve a budget amendment to implement a Rapid Response Program to help those affected by Tropical Storm Fred get back into their homes.
