The Haywood County Board of Commissioners is seeking applicants to fill a tourism-related vacancy on the Tourism Development Authority Board. This position is for a three-year term, effective January 2025 through December 2027.
This is a wonderful opportunity for residents of Haywood County who own or operate a tourism-related business, including, but not limited to, local attractions, resorts, restaurants, gift shops, and concert venues. The applicants will be interviewed by the Board of County Commissioners before being asked to serve in the position.
Board application forms may be downloaded from the “How Do I…Submit Volunteer Board or Committee Application” section of the County website at https://www.haywoodcountync.gov/9/How-Do-I or picked up from the County Manager’s office from 8 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday, at the Haywood County Historic Courthouse, third floor, 215 North Main Street, Waynesville.
Completed applications may be returned to the County Manager’s Office or attached to an email to Haven Muse, Deputy Clerk to the Board of County Commissioners, at haven.muse@haywoodcountync.gov.
Applications will be accepted through November 25, 2024.
