A quorum of the Haywood County Board of Commissioners will be attending a listening session hosted by the North Carolina Department of Environment Quality (NCDEQ) on Thursday, June 22 from 10 am to noon at Haywood Community College, Juniper Building, 185 Freedlander, Clyde, NC.
The purpose of the meeting is for NCDEQ to conduct a listening session on flooding, resiliency, and mitigation in Haywood County and the region. Area projects will be discussed, as well as information on the NC Flood Resiliency Blueprint. The NCDEQ is seeking input on how flooding impacts individuals and the community.
There will be no official Haywood County business conducted at this meeting.
